Description
Very expressive with lifted citrus and tropical fruit aromas. Pink grapefruit dominates. A juicy wine with vibrant acidity and plenty of weight and length on the palate. Tropical fruit flavour with lifted mango, pineapple, and guava notes on the persistent finish.
Perfect for all occasions, particularly delicious with fresh oysters, asparagus, lobster, or summer salads.
Grapes were individually harvested from our vineyard blocks before being gently pressed and fermented. Each block is handled individually to capture the special characteristics of each vineyard parcel. Seventy percent of the grapes came from the Wairau Valley, which provided classic passionfruit and pink grapefruit aromas. The remaining grapes came from the Awatere Valley, which contributed lemon, lime, and fresh herbs. When combined, these individual parcels deliver the potpourri of aromas and dense concentration of flavours that characterise Kim Crawford’s signature Sauvignon Blanc style.
Kim Crawford produces one of Marlborough’s benchmark Sauvignon Blancs, being named in the Wine Spectator Top 100 four times. A perennial favourite enjoyed by the glass in restaurants, it has also been named four times in the Wine & Spirits Restaurant Top 50. The secret to Kim Crawford’s success is serious attention to detail in the vineyards and winery, with a special focus on sustainable practices, individual vineyard block harvesting, and small lot fermentation.
