Description
A dry Pinot Gris with floral, citrus and ginger aromatics and flavours of fresh pear, apricot and stonefruit. The wine style is that of a cool climate Pinot Gris with subtle flavours and fresh acidity. Suggested serving temperature 8° ideal.
The 2017 season saw an early bud burst, which was followed by a very windy spring and early summer. A much cooler summer, however a lovely long autumn allowed for extended ripeness. The small berries & bunches grown gave great fruit concentration. These grapes were 100% hand harvested from Central Otago sub-regions, including: 26% Bendigo, 60% Pisa and 14% Gibbston. The wine was fermented in tank and aged on yeast lees for 3 months prior to blending and bottling. Recomend cellering upto 2 years.
Food Pairing: This wine pairs great with a potato and pear galette with blue cheese.
